Psalms 40:14

14 aLet those be put to shame and disappointed altogether
who seek to snatch away my life;
let those be bturned back and brought to dishonor
who delight in my hurt!

Psalms 83

O God, Do Not Keep Silence

A Song. A Psalm of cAsaph.

1 O God, do not keep silence;
ddo not hold your peace or be still, O God!
2For behold, your enemies emake an uproar;
those who hate you have fraised their heads.
3They lay gcrafty plans against your people;
they consult together against your htreasured ones.
4They say, “Come, ilet us wipe them out as a nation;
let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”
5For they conspire with one accord;
against you they make a covenant
6the tents of jEdom and kthe Ishmaelites,
lMoab and mthe Hagrites,
7 nGebal and oAmmon and pAmalek,
qPhilistia with the inhabitants of rTyre;
8 sAsshur also has joined them;
they are the strong arm of tthe children of Lot.  Selah
9 Do to them as you did to uMidian,
as to vSisera and Jabin at wthe river Kishon,
10who were destroyed at xEn-dor,
who became ydung for the ground.
11Make their nobles like zOreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like aaZebah and Zalmunna,
12who said, ab“Let us take possession for ourselves
of the pastures of God.”
13 O my God, make them like acwhirling dust,
Or  like a tumbleweed

like aechaff before the wind.
14As affire consumes the forest,
as the flame agsets the mountains ablaze,
15so may you pursue them ahwith your tempest
and terrify them with your hurricane!
16 aiFill their faces with shame,
that they may seek your name, O Lord.
17Let them be ajput to shame and dismayed forever;
let them perish in disgrace,
18that they may akknow that you alone,
alwhose name is the Lord,
are amthe Most High over all the earth.

Psalms 132:18

18His enemies I will anclothe with shame,
but on him his crown will shine.”
