Psalms 40:4

4 Blessed is the man who amakes
the Lord his trust,
who does not turn to the proud,
to those who bgo astray after a lie!

Psalms 49:6-7

6those who ctrust in their wealth
and boast of the abundance of their riches?
7Truly no man dcan ransom another,
or egive to God fthe price of his life,

Psalms 52:7

7See the man who would not make
God his refuge,
but gtrusted in the abundance of his riches
and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

Psalms 62:8-10

8 iTrust in him at all times, O people;
jpour out your heart before him;
God is ka refuge for us.  Selah
9 lThose of low estate are but a breath;
those of high estate mare a delusion;
in the balances they go up;
nthey are together lighter than a breath.
10Put no trust in extortion;
oset no vain hopes on robbery;
pif riches increase, set not your heart on them.

Isaiah 59:4-6

4 qNo one enters suit justly;
no one goes to law honestly;
they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies,
rthey conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5They hatch adderseggs;
they weave the spider’s web;
he who eats their eggs dies,
and from one that is crushed a viper is hatched.
6 sTheir webs will not serve as clothing;
men will not cover themselves with what they make.
Their works are works of iniquity,
and deeds of violence are in their hands.

Jeremiah 9:23

afyou have made wealth for yourself,
and have gathered gold and silver
into your treasuries;
5by your great wisdom in your trade
you have increased your wealth,
and agyour heart has become proud in your wealth
