Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

17 c“Do not think that I have come to abolish dthe Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but eto fulfill them. 18For truly, I say to you, funtil heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 gTherefore whoever relaxes hone of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least iin the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great jin the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds kthat of the scribes and Pharisees, you lwill never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 3:31

31Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Romans 7:12

12So mthe law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

Romans 8:3-4

3For nGod has done what the law, oweakened by the flesh, pcould not do. qBy sending his own Son rin the likeness of sinful flesh and sfor sin,
Or  and as a sin offering
he condemned sin in the flesh,
4in order that uthe righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, vwho walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Romans 10:4

4For wChrist is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Or  end of the law, that everyone who believes may be justified


Galatians 3:13

13Christ yredeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, zCursed is everyone who is hanged aaon a tree”—

Galatians 3:21

21Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For abif a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
