Psalms 41:1

O Lord, Be Gracious to Me

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1 aBlessed is the one who considers the poor!
Or weak

cIn the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;

Isaiah 58:7-8

7Is it not dto share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
eand not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 fThen shall your light break forth like the dawn,
gand your healing shall spring up speedily;
hyour righteousness shall go before you;
ithe glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

Luke 7:4-5

4And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, j“He is worthy to have you do this for him, 5for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us kour synagogue.”

Acts 9:36

Dorcas Restored to Life

36Now there was in lJoppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.
The Aramaic name  Tabitha and the Greek name  Dorcas both mean gazelle
She was full of ngood works and acts of charity.

Acts 10:4

4And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms ohave ascended pas a memorial before God.

Acts 10:22

22And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and qGod-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by ra holy angel to send for you to come to his house and sto hear what you have to say.”

Acts 10:31

31and said, ‘Cornelius, tyour prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

Romans 15:26-27

26For uMacedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints at Jerusalem. 27For they were pleased to do it, and indeed vthey owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual blessings, they ought also to be of service to them in material blessings.
