8 Bear fruits ^din keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ^e‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from ^fthese stones to raise up children for Abraham. 9 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. ^gEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

10 And the crowds asked him, ^h“What then shall we do?” 11 And he answered them, ⁱ“Whoever has two tunics ^{▼▼Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin} is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.” 12 ^kTax collectors also came to be baptized and said to him, “Teacher, ^lwhat shall we do?” 13 And he said to them, ^m“Collect no more than you are authorized to do.”

Luke 11:41

41 But ⁿgive as alms those things that are within, and behold, ^oeverything is clean for you.

Luke 12:33

33 ^pSell your possessions, and ^qgive to the needy. ^rProvide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with ^sa treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Luke 16:9

9 And I tell you, ^tmake friends for yourselves by means of ^uunrighteous wealth, ^{▼▼Greek mammon, a Semitic word for money or possessions; also verse 11; rendered money in verse 13} so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.

Luke 18:22-23

22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. ^wSell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have ^xtreasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 23 ^yBut when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.

Acts 2:44-46
