The Vineyard of the Lord Destroyed

1 Let me sing for my beloved
my love song concerning his vineyard:
My beloved had ka vineyard
on a very fertile hill.
2He dug it and cleared it of stones,
and planted it with lchoice vines;
he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
and hewed out a wine vat in it;
and mhe looked for it to yield grapes,
but it yielded wild grapes.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem
and men of Judah,
judge between me and my vineyard.
4 nWhat more was there to do for my vineyard,
that I have not done in it?
oWhen I looked for it to yield grapes,
why did it yield wild grapes?

Jeremiah 2:21

21 pYet I planted you a choice vine,
wholly of pure seed.
qHow then have you turned degenerate
and become a wild vine?

Jeremiah 32:41

41 rI will rejoice in doing them good, sand I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.
