Psalms 44:9-16

9 But you have ^arejected us and disgraced us
and ^bhave not gone out with our armies.
10 You have made us ^cturn back from the foe,
and those who hate us have gotten spoil.
11 You have made us like ^dsheep for slaughter
and have ^escattered us among the nations.
12 ^fYou have sold your people for a trifle,
demanding no high price for them.
13 You have made us ^gthe taunt of our neighbors,
the derision and ^hscorn of those around us.
14 You have made us ⁱa byword among the nations,
^ja laughingstock ^{▼▼Hebrew a shaking of the head} among the peoples.
15 All day long my disgrace is before me,
and ^lshame has covered my face
16 at the sound of the taunter and reviler,
at the sight of ^mthe enemy and the avenger.
