Psalms 45:10-16

10 Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear:
forget your people and your father’s house,
11and the king will desire your beauty.
Since he is your alord, bbow to him.
12The people
Hebrew daughter
of Tyre will dseek your favor with egifts,
fthe richest of the people.
Or  The daughter of Tyre is here with gifts, the richest of people seek your favor

13 All glorious is hthe princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold.
14 iIn many-colored robes jshe is led to the king,
with her virgin companions following behind her.
15With joy and gladness they are led along
as they enter the palace of the king.
16 In place of your fathers shall be your sons;
you will make them kprinces in all the earth.

Matthew 25:1-13

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

1Then the kingdom of heaven will be like lten virgins who took their lamps
Or torches
and went to meet nthe bridegroom.
Some manuscripts add and the bride
2Five of them were foolish, and five were pwise. 3For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5As the bridegroom qwas delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6But rat midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7Then all those virgins rose and strimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and tthose who were ready went in with him to uthe marriage feast, and vthe door was shut. 11Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, wLord, lord, open to us.’ 12 xBut he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, yI do not know you.’ 13 zWatch therefore, for you aaknow neither the day nor the hour.

John 3:29-30

29 abThe one who has the bride is the bridegroom. acThe friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, adrejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. 30 aeHe must increase, but I must decrease.”
Some interpreters hold that the quotation continues through verse 36

2 Corinthians 11:2

2For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since agI betrothed you to one husband, ahto present you aias a pure virgin to Christ.

Ephesians 5:24-32

24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit ajin everything to their husbands.

25 akHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and algave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by amthe washing of water anwith the word, 27so aothat he might present the church to himself in splendor, apwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Or holy and blameless
28In the same way arhusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30because aswe are members of his body. 31 atTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and authe two shall become one flesh.” 32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.

Revelation of John 19:7-9

7Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for avthe marriage of the Lamb has come,
and awhis Bride has made herself ready;
8 axit was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is aythe righteous deeds of the saints.

9And the angel said
Greek he said
to me, “Write this: baBlessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, bbThese are the true words of God.”
