Psalms 47

God Is King over All the Earth

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of ^athe Sons of Korah.

1 ^bClap your hands, all peoples!
^cShout to God with loud songs of joy!
2 For the Lord, the Most High, ^dis to be feared,
^ea great king over all the earth.
3 He ^fsubdued peoples under us,
and nations under our feet.
4 He chose our ^gheritage for us,
^hthe pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
5 God ⁱhas gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is ^jthe King of all the earth;
sing praises ^kwith a psalm! ^{▼▼Hebrew maskil}
8 God ^mreigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
9 ⁿThe princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For ^othe shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!

Psalms 98:1-3

Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord

A Psalm.

1 Oh sing to the Lord ^pa new song,
for he has done ^qmarvelous things!
His ^rright hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The Lord has ^smade known his salvation;
he has ^trevealed his righteousness in ^uthe sight of the nations.
3 He has ^vremembered his ^wsteadfast love and faithfulness
to the house of Israel.
All ^xthe ends of the earth have seen
^ythe salvation of our God.

Isaiah 12:6

6 Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,

Isaiah 35:10
