Zion, the City of Our God

A Song. A Psalm of athe Sons of Korah.

1 bGreat is the Lord and greatly to be praised
in cthe city of our God!
His dholy mountain,
2 ebeautiful in elevation,
is fthe joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
gthe city of the great King.

Psalms 68:16

16Why do you look with hatred, O many-peaked mountain,
at the mount that God hdesired for his abode,
yes, where the Lord will dwell forever?

From where does my help come?

Isaiah 2:2-3

2 lIt shall come to pass in the latter days
that mthe mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and nall the nations shall flow to it,
3and omany peoples shall come, and say:
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For pout of Zion shall go forth the law,

and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Isaiah 56:7

7 rthese I will bring to smy holy mountain,
and make them joyful in my house of prayer;
ttheir burnt offerings and their sacrifices
will be accepted on my altar;
for umy house shall be called a house of prayer
for all peoples.”

Zechariah 8:3

3Thus says the Lord: vI have returned to Zion and wwill dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, xand Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, yand the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain.

2 Peter 1:18

18we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on zthe holy mountain.
