Psalms 49:10-13

10 For he sees athat even the wise die;
bthe fool and the stupid alike must perish
and cleave their wealth to others.
11Their dgraves are their homes forever,
Septuagint, Syriac, Targum; Hebrew  Their inward thought was that their homes were forever

their dwelling places fto all generations,
though they gcalled lands by their own names.
12Man in his pomp hwill not remain;
ihe is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is the path of those who have jfoolish confidence;
yet after them people approve of their boasts.
Or and of those after them who approve of their boasts
 Selah

Proverbs 27:22

along with crushed grain,
yet his folly will not depart from him.

Luke 12:19-20

19And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up mfor many years; relax, neat, drink, be merry.”’ 20But God said to him, oFool! pThis night qyour soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, rwhose will they be?’

Luke 16:19-25
