Psalms 49:10-19

10 For he sees athat even the wise die;
bthe fool and the stupid alike must perish
and cleave their wealth to others.
11Their dgraves are their homes forever,
Septuagint, Syriac, Targum; Hebrew  Their inward thought was that their homes were forever

their dwelling places fto all generations,
though they gcalled lands by their own names.
12Man in his pomp hwill not remain;
ihe is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is the path of those who have jfoolish confidence;
yet after them people approve of their boasts.
Or and of those after them who approve of their boasts

14Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol;
death shall be their shepherd,
and the upright lshall rule over them in the morning.
mTheir form shall be consumed nin Sheol, with no place to dwell.
15But God will oransom my soul from the power of Sheol,
for he will preceive me.  Selah
16 Be not afraid when a man becomes rich,
when the glory of his house increases.
17 qFor when he dies he will rcarry nothing away;
his glory will not go down after him.
18For though, while he lives, he counts himself sblessed
—and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
19his soul will tgo to the generation of his fathers,
who will never again usee light.

Matthew 17:26

26And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, Then the sons are free.
