Psalms 49:7-12

7Truly no man acan ransom another,
or bgive to God cthe price of his life,
8for dthe ransom of their life is costly
and can never suffice,
9that he should live on forever
and enever see the pit.
10 For he sees fthat even the wise die;
gthe fool and the stupid alike must perish
and hleave their wealth to others.
11Their igraves are their homes forever,
Septuagint, Syriac, Targum; Hebrew  Their inward thought was that their homes were forever

their dwelling places kto all generations,
though they lcalled lands by their own names.
12Man in his pomp mwill not remain;
nhe is like the beasts that perish.
