Psalms 50:16-21

16 But to the wicked God says:
“What right have you to recite my statutes
or take my covenant on your lips?
17 ^aFor you hate discipline,
^band you cast my words behind you.
18 If you see a thief, ^cyou are pleased with him,
^dand you keep company with adulterers.
19 “You give your mouth free rein for evil,
^eand your tongue frames deceit.
20 You sit and speak against your brother;
you slander your own mother’s son.
21 These things you have done, and I ^fhave been silent;

1 Corinthians 5:1-10

Sexual Immorality Defiles the Church

1 It is actually reported that there is ^jsexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, ^kfor a man has his father’s wife. 2 And ^lyou are arrogant! Ought you ^mnot rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.

3 For though ⁿabsent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. 4 When you are assembled ^oin the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are ^pto deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so ^qthat his spirit may be saved ^rin the day of the Lord. ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add Jesus}

6 ^tYour boasting is not good. Do you not know that ^ua little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival, ^vnot with the old leaven, ^wthe leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote to you in my letter ^xnot to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 ^ynot at all meaning ^zthe sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, ^aasince then you would need to go out of the world.

2 Corinthians 12:20-21

20 For I fear that perhaps ^abwhen I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish—that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder. 21 I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those ^acwho sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, ^adsexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now ^aethe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, ^afdivisions, 21 envy, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add murder} drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that ^ahthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8

3 For this is the will of God, ^aiyour sanctification: ^{▼▼Or your holiness} ^akthat you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own ^albody ^{▼▼Or how to take a wife for himself; Greek how to possess his own vessel} in holiness and ^anhonor, 5 not in ^aothe passion of lust ^aplike the Gentiles ^aqwho do not know God; 6 that no one transgress and ^arwrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is ^asan avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 7 For ^atGod has not called us for ^auimpurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore ^avwhoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, ^awwho gives his Holy Spirit to you.

Revelation of John 2:14

14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of ^axBalaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might ^ayeat food sacrificed to idols and ^azpractice sexual immorality.
