Mark 12:42-44

42And a poor widow came and put in two esmall copper coins, which make a penny.
Greek  two lepta, which make a kodrantes; a kodrantes (Latin quadrans) was a Roman copper coin worth about 1/64 of a denarius (which was a day’s wage for a laborer)
43And he called his disciples to him and said to them, Truly, I say to you, gthis poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her hpoverty has put in everything she had, all ishe had to live on.”

Mark 14:6-9

6But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7For jyou always have the poor with you, and whenever kyou want, you can do good for them. But lyou will not always have me. 8 mShe has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand nfor burial. 9And truly, I say to you, wherever othe gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told pin memory of her.”
