1 Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man?
The steadfast love of God endures all the day.

Psalms 52:7

7See the man who would not make
God his refuge,
but ctrusted in the abundance of his riches
and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

14Like eclouds and wind without rain
is a man who fboasts of a gift he does not give.

Proverbs 27:1

1Do not boast about tomorrow,
gfor you do not know what a day may bring.

Isaiah 47:7-8

7You said, “I shall be hmistress forever,”
so that you did not lay these things to heart

8 Now therefore hear this, iyou lover of pleasures,

1 Corinthians 4:7-8

7For who sees anything different in you? nWhat do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?
