Psalms 55:6-8

6And I say, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest;
7 ayes, I would wander far away;
I would lodge in the wilderness;  Selah
8I would hurry to find a shelter
from bthe raging wind and tempest.”

Psalms 120:5-7

5 Woe to me, that I sojourn in cMeshech,
that I dwell among dthe tents of eKedar!
6Too long have I had my dwelling
among those who hate peace.
7 fI am for peace,
but when I speak, they are for war!

Micah 7:1-7

Wait for the God of Salvation

1 Woe is me! For I have become
gas when the summer fruit has been gathered,
as when the grapes have been gleaned:
there is no cluster to eat,
no hfirst-ripe fig that my soul desires.
2 iThe godly has perished from the earth,
and jthere is no one upright among mankind;
kthey all lie in wait for blood,
and leach hunts the other with a net.
3 mTheir hands are on what is evil, to do it well;
nthe prince and othe judge ask for a bribe,
and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul;
thus they weave it together.
4The best of them is plike a brier,
the most upright of them a thorn hedge.
The day of qyour watchmen, of your punishment, has come;
rnow their confusion is at hand.
5 sPut no trust in a neighbor;
have no confidence in a friend;
guard tthe doors of your mouth
from her who lies in your arms;
Hebrew bosom

6for vthe son treats the father with contempt,
the daughter rises up against her mother,
the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
wa man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
xI will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me.
