Psalms 55:9-11

9 Destroy, O Lord, adivide their tongues;
for I see bviolence and strife in the city.
10Day and night they go around it
on its walls,
and ciniquity and trouble are within it;
11ruin is in its midst;
doppression and fraud
do not depart from its marketplace.

Jeremiah 20:8

8For whenever I speak, I cry out,
I shout, eViolence and destruction!”
For fthe word of the Lord has become for me
ga reproach and hderision all day long.

Ezekiel 7:11

11 iViolence has grown up into ja rod of wickedness. kNone of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.
The meaning of this last Hebrew sentence is uncertain

Ezekiel 7:23

23 mForge a chain!
Probably refers to an instrument of captivity
oFor the land is full of bloody crimes pand the city is full of violence.

Ezekiel 22:3-12

That is, profit that comes from charging interest to the poor (compare Leviticus 25:36)
and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; but anme you have forgotten, declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 24:7

7For the blood she has shed is in her midst; she put it on aothe bare rock; apshe did not pour it out on the ground to cover it with dust.

Micah 2:1-2

Woe to the Oppressors

1 aqWoe to those who devise wickedness
and work evil aron their beds!
When the morning dawns, they perform it,
because it is in the power of their hand.
2They covet fields and asseize them,
and houses, and take them away;
they oppress a man and his house,
a man and his inheritance.

Micah 2:8-10

8But lately atmy people have risen up as an enemy;
you strip the rich robe from those who pass by trustingly
with no thought of war.
Or returning from war

9The women of my people you drive out
from their delightful houses;
from their young children you take away
my splendor forever.
10 avArise and go,
for this is no awplace to rest,
because of axuncleanness that destroys
with a grievous destruction.
