Psalms 60:3

3 aYou have made your people see hard things;
byou have given us cwine to drink that made us stagger.

Lamentations 1:11

Lamentations 4:9-10

9 Happier were the victims of the sword
than the victims of hunger,
who wasted away, pierced

Lamentations 5:9

9 lWe get our bread at the peril of our lives,
because of the sword in the wilderness.

Ezekiel 4:10-11

10And your food that you eat shall be mby weight, ntwenty shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
a day; from day to day
Or at a set time daily; also verse 11
you shall eat it.
11And water you shall drink qby measure, the sixth part of a hin;
A  hin was about 4 quarts or 3.5 liters
from day to day you shall drink.

Ezekiel 12:18-19

18 sSon of man, teat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with anxiety. 19And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: uThey shall eat their bread with anxiety, vand drink water in dismay. In this way wher land will be stripped of all it contains, xon account of the violence of all those who dwell in it.
