the waters stood above the mountains.
7At dyour rebuke they fled;
at ethe sound of your thunder they ftook to flight.

25For he jcommanded and kraised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;

27they reeled and mstaggered like drunken men
and nwere at their witsend.
Hebrew  and all their wisdom was swallowed up

28 pThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
29He qmade the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Isaiah 50:2

2 rWhy, when I came, was there no man;
why, when I called, was there no one to answer?
sIs my hand shortened, that it cannot redeem?
Or have I no power to deliver?
tBehold, by my rebuke uI dry up the sea,
vI make the rivers a desert;
wtheir fish stink for lack of water
and die of thirst.

Jeremiah 5:22

22 xDo you not fear me? declares the Lord.
Do you not tremble before me?
I placed the sand yas the boundary for the sea,
a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass;
though the waves toss, they cannot prevail;
though zthey roar, they cannot pass over it.

Nahum 1:4

4 aaHe rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
he dries up all the rivers;
abBashan and acCarmel wither;
the bloom of adLebanon withers.
