21They gave me apoison for food,
and for my thirst they gave me bsour wine to drink.

Matthew 27:29-30

29and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they cmocked him, saying, “Hail, dKing of the Jews!” 30And ethey spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head.

34 fthey offered him wine to drink, mixed with ggall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.

36And someone ran and filled a sponge with osour wine, put it on a reed pand gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.”

11And Herod with his soldiers qtreated him with contempt and rmocked him. Then, sarraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate.

John 19:28-30

The Death of Jesus

28After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now tfinished, said ( uto fulfill the Scripture), v“I thirst.” 29A jar full of sour wine stood there, wso they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, x“It is finished,” and he bowed his head and ygave up his spirit.
