Psalms 69:22-28

22 aLet their own btable before them become a snare;
cand when they are at peace, let it become a trap.
Hebrew; a slight revocalization yields (compare Septuagint, Syriac, Jerome)  a snare, and retribution and a trap

23 eLet their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see,
fand make their loins tremble continually.
24Pour out your indignation upon them,
and let your burning anger overtake them.
25 gMay their camp be a desolation;
let no one dwell in their tents.
26For they hpersecute him whom iyou have struck down,
and they recount the pain of jthose you have wounded.
27 kAdd to them punishment upon punishment;
may they have no acquittal from you.
Hebrew  may they not come into your righteousness

28Let them be mblotted out of the book of the living;
let them not be nenrolled among the righteous.

Jeremiah 13:16-17

16 oGive glory to the Lord your God
pbefore he brings darkness,
before your feet stumble
on the twilight mountains,
and qwhile you look for light
he turns it into gloom
and makes it rdeep darkness.
17But if you will not listen,
smy soul will weep in secret for your pride;
my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears,
because the Lord’s flock has been taken captive.

John 12:39-40

39Therefore they tcould not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 u“He has blinded their eyes
and vhardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”

Romans 11:7-10

7What then? wIsrael failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest xwere hardened, 8as it is written,

yGod gave them a spirit of stupor,
zeyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9And David says,

aa“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see,
and bend their backs forever.”

2 Corinthians 3:14

14But abtheir minds were achardened. For to this day, adwhen they read aethe old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away.
