1 O Lord my God, in you do I ctake refuge;
dsave me from all my pursuers and deliver me,
 2lest like ea lion they tear my soul apart,
rending it in pieces, with fnone to deliver.
 3 O Lord my God, gif I have done this,
if there is hwrong in my hands,
 4if I have repaid imy friend ▼

Psalms 14

The Fool Says, There Is No God

To the choirmaster. Of David.

1 akThe alfool says in his heart, am“There is no God.”
They are ancorrupt, they do abominable deeds;
aothere is none who does good.
 2 The Lord aplooks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand, ▼
▼Or that act wisely

who arseek after God.
 3 They have all turned aside; together they have become ascorrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.
 4 Have they no atknowledge, all the evildoers
who aueat up my people as they eat bread
and avdo not call upon the Lord?
 5 There they are in great terror,
for God is with awthe generation of the righteous.
 6You would shame the plans of the poor,
but ▼

 the Lord is his ayrefuge.
 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord azrestores the fortunes of his people,
let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
