1 In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong ^fsword will punish ^gLeviathan the fleeing serpent, ^hLeviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay ⁱthe dragon that is in the sea.

Isaiah 34:5-6

5 For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens;
behold, it descends for judgment upon ^jEdom,
upon the people ^kI have devoted to destruction.
6 The Lord has a sword; it is sated with blood;
it is gorged with fat,

Ah, it is made like lightning; ^afit is taken up ^{▼▼The meaning of the Hebrew word rendered taken up is uncertain} for slaughter.

Ezekiel 21:20

20 Mark a way ^ahfor the sword to come to Rabbah of the Ammonites and to Judah, into Jerusalem the fortified.

Zephaniah 2:12
