Psalms 71:2

2In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
incline your ear to me, and save me!

Psalms 88:2-18

2Let my prayer come before you;
aincline your ear to my cry!
3 For my soul is full of troubles,
and bmy life draws near to cSheol.
4I am counted among those who dgo down to the pit;
I am a man who has no strength,
5like one set loose among the dead,
like the slain that lie in the grave,
like those whom eyou remember no more,
for they are fcut off from your hand.
6You have put me in gthe depths of the pit,
in the hregions dark and ideep.
7Your wrath jlies heavy upon me,
and you overwhelm me with kall your waves.  Selah
8 You have caused lmy companions to shun me;
you have made me ma horror
Or an abomination
to them.
I am oshut in so that I cannot escape;
9 pmy eye grows dim through sorrow.
Every day I call upon you, O Lord;
I qspread out my hands to you.
10Do you work wonders for the dead?
rDo the departed rise up to praise you?  Selah
11Is your steadfast love declared in the grave,
or your faithfulness in Abaddon?
12Are your swonders known in tthe darkness,
or your righteousness in the land of uforgetfulness?
13 But I, O Lord, cry vto you;
win the morning my prayer comes before you.
14O Lord, why xdo you cast my soul away?
Why ydo you hide your face from me?
15Afflicted and close to death from my youth up,
I suffer your terrors; I am helpless.

16Your wrath has swept over me;
your aadreadful assaults destroy me.
17They absurround me like a flood acall day long;
they adclose in on me together.
18You have caused aemy beloved and my friend to shun me;
my companions have become darkness.
Or darkness has become my only companion
