Psalms 72:12-14

12 For he delivers ^athe needy when he calls,
the poor and him who has no helper.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy,
and saves the lives of the needy.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life,
and ^bprecious is their blood in his sight.

Matthew 9:12-13

12 But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn ^cwhat this means: ^d‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For ^eI came not to call the righteous, ^fbut sinners.”

Hebrews 2:10
