Psalms 74:3-8

3Direct your steps to athe perpetual ruins;
the enemy has destroyed everything in the sanctuary!
4 Your foes have broared in the midst of your meeting place;
cthey set up their down signs for esigns.
5They were like those who swing faxes
in a forest of trees.
The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain

6And all its hcarved wood
they broke down with hatchets and hammers.
7They iset your sanctuary on fire;
they jprofaned kthe dwelling place of your name,
bringing it down to the ground.
8They lsaid to themselves, “We will utterly subdue them”;
they burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

Jeremiah 22:5

5But if you will not obey these words, I mswear by myself, declares the Lord, that nthis house shall become a desolation.

Jeremiah 26:6

6then I will make this house olike Shiloh, and I will make this city pa curse for all the nations of the earth.’”

Jeremiah 26:9

9Why have you prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘This house shall be qlike Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate, rwithout inhabitant’?” And all the people gathered around Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
