Psalms 76:12

12who acuts off the spirit of princes,
who bis to be feared by the kings of the earth.

Psalms 149:6-9

6Let cthe high praises of God be in their throats
and dtwo-edged swords in their hands,
7to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
8to bind their kings with echains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
9to execute on them the judgment fwritten!
gThis is honor for all his godly ones.
hPraise the Lord!

Isaiah 10:25-27

25For iin a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. 26And jthe Lord of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck kMidian lat the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it mas he did in Egypt. 27And in that day nhis burden will depart from your shoulder, and ohis yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”

Isaiah 14:1-2

The Restoration of Jacob

1 qFor the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and rwill set them in their own land, and ssojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob. 2And tthe peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the Lord’s land uas male and female slaves.
Or servants
wThey will take captive those who were their captors, xand rule over those who oppressed them.

Isaiah 25:10-12

10For the hand of the Lord will rest yon this mountain,
and zMoab shall be trampled down in his place,
as straw is trampled down in a dunghill.
The Hebrew words for  dunghill and for the Moabite town  Madmen (Jeremiah 48:2) sound alike

11 abAnd he will spread out his hands in the midst of it
as a swimmer spreads his hands out to swim,
but the Lord acwill lay low his pompous pride together with the skill
Or in spite of the skill
of his hands.
12And the high fortifications of his walls he will bring down,
lay low, and cast to the ground, to the dust.

Isaiah 34:2-17

2For the Lord is enraged against all the nations,
and furious against all their host;
he has aedevoted them to destruction,
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); also verse 5
has given them over for slaughter.
3Their slain shall be cast out,
and agthe stench of their corpses shall rise;
ahthe mountains shall flow with their blood.
4 aiAll the host of heaven shall rot away,
and the skies roll up like a scroll.
All their host shall fall,
as leaves fall from the vine,
like leaves falling from the fig tree.
5 For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens;
behold, it descends for judgment upon ajEdom,
upon the people akI have devoted to destruction.
6The Lord has a sword; it is sated with blood;
it is gorged with fat,
with the blood of lambs and goats,
with the fat of the kidneys of rams.
alFor the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7 amWild oxen shall anfall with them,
and aoyoung steers with apthe mighty bulls.
Their land shall drink its fill of blood,
and their soil shall be gorged with fat.
8 aqFor the Lord has a day of vengeance,
a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
9 arAnd the streams of Edom
Hebrew her streams
shall be turned into pitch,
and her soil into sulfur;
her land shall become burning pitch.
10Night and day atit shall not be quenched;
auits smoke shall go up forever.
avFrom generation to generation it shall lie waste;
none shall pass through it forever and ever.
11 awBut the hawk and the porcupine

shall possess it,
the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.
ayHe shall stretch the line of azconfusion
Hebrew formlessness
over it,
and the plumb line of emptiness.
12Its nobles—there is no one there to call it a kingdom,
and all its princes shall be nothing.
13 bbThorns shall grow over its strongholds,
nettles and thistles in its fortresses.
It shall be the haunt of bcjackals,
an abode for ostriches.
Or owls

14 beAnd wild animals shall meet with hyenas;
the wild goat shall cry to his fellow;
indeed, there the night bird

settles
and finds for herself a resting place.
15 There the owl nests and lays
and hatches and gathers her young in her shadow;
indeed, there bgthe hawks are gathered,
each one with her mate.
16Seek and read from the book of the Lord:
Not one of these shall be missing;
none shall be without her mate.
For the mouth of the Lord has commanded,
and his Spirit has gathered them.
17 bhHe has cast the lot for them;
his hand has portioned it out to them with the line;
they shall possess it forever;
from generation to generation they shall dwell in it.
