Psalms 78:39

39He aremembered that they were but bflesh,
ca wind that passes and comes not again.

John 3:6

6 dThat which is born of the flesh is eflesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The same Greek word means both wind and  spirit

Romans 8:1-13

Life in the Spirit

1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Some manuscripts add who walk not according to the flesh (but according to the Spirit)
2For the law of hthe Spirit of life ihas set you
Some manuscripts me
free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
3For kGod has done what the law, lweakened by the flesh, mcould not do. nBy sending his own Son oin the likeness of sinful flesh and pfor sin,
Or  and as a sin offering
he condemned sin in the flesh,
4in order that rthe righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, swho walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For tthose who live according to the flesh set their minds on uthe things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on vthe things of the Spirit. 6For to set wthe mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is xhostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; yindeed, it cannot. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact zthe Spirit of God dwells in you. aaAnyone who does not have abthe Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11If the Spirit of achim who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus
Some manuscripts lack  Jesus
from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies aethrough his Spirit who dwells in you.

Heirs with Christ

12So then, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verse 29
we are debtors, agnot to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you ahput to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Galatians 5:16-24

Keep in Step with the Spirit

16But I say, aiwalk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify ajthe desires of the flesh. 17For akthe desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, alto keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18But if you are amled by the Spirit, anyou are not under the law. 19Now aothe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, apdivisions, 21envy,
Some manuscripts add murder
drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that arthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But asthe fruit of the Spirit is atlove, joy, peace, patience, aukindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 avgentleness, awself-control; axagainst such things there is no law. 24And those who belong to Christ Jesus ayhave crucified the flesh with its azpassions and desires.

1 Peter 3:20

20because
Or when
they formerly did not obey, bbwhen God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, bcwhile the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, bdeight persons, were brought safely through water.
