64Their apriests fell by the sword,
and their bwidows made no lamentation.

Jeremiah 16:5-6

5“For thus says the Lord: cDo not enter the house of mourning, or go to lament or grieve for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, my steadfast love and mercy, declares the Lord. 6Both great and small shall die in this land. dThey shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or ecut himself for make himself bald for them.

Jeremiah 22:18

18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

g“They shall not lament for him, saying,
hAh, my brother!’ or ‘Ah, sister!’
They shall not lament for him, saying,
iAh, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’

Jeremiah 25:33

33 j“And those pierced by the Lord on that day shall extend from one end of the earth to the other. kThey shall not be lamented, lor gathered, or buried; mthey shall be dung on the surface of the ground.

Ezekiel 24:16-24

16 nSon of man, behold, I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep, nor shall your tears run down. 17Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead. oBind on your turban, and pput your shoes on your feet; do not cover your lips, qnor eat the bread of men.” 18So I spoke to the people in the morning, and rat evening my wife died. And on the next morning I did sas I was commanded.

19And tthe people said to me, “Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?” 20Then I said to them, “The word of the Lord came to me: 21Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: uBehold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and vyour sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword. 22And wyou shall do as I have done; xyou shall not cover your lips, ynor eat the bread of men. 23 zYour turbans shall be on your heads and your shoes on your feet; you shall not mourn or weep, but aayou shall rot away in your iniquities and groan to one another. 24Thus shall Ezekiel be to you aba sign; acaccording to all that he has done you shall do. When this comes, then adyou will know that I am the Lord God.’
