Psalms 79:1

How Long, O Lord?

A Psalm of ^aAsaph.

1 O God, ^bthe nations have come into your ^cinheritance;
they have defiled your ^dholy temple;
they have ^elaid Jerusalem in ruins.

Jeremiah 52:13

13 And he burned the house of the Lord, and the king’s house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down.

Lamentations 1:10

10 The enemy has stretched out his hands
over all her ^fprecious things;
for she has seen ^gthe nations
enter her sanctuary,
those whom you ^hforbade
to enter your congregation.

Daniel 8:11-14

11 ⁱIt became great, even as great as ^jthe Prince of the host. ^kAnd the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. 12 And a host will be given over to it together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression, ^{▼▼Or in an act of rebellion} and it will throw truth to the ground, and ^mit will act and prosper. 13 Then I heard ⁿa holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, ^o“For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, ^pthe transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?” 14 And he said to me, ^{▼▼Hebrew; Septuagint, Theodotion, Vulgate to him} “For 2,300 ^revenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.”

Daniel 9:27

27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, ^{▼▼Or seven; twice in this verse} and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. ^tAnd on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until ^uthe decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

Daniel 11:31

31 Forces from him shall appear and ^vprofane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And ^wthey shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

Mark 11:17

17 And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ^x‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But ^yyou have made it a den of robbers.”
