Psalms 79:4

4We have become aa taunt to our neighbors,
bmocked and derided by those around us.

Isaiah 64:10-11

10 cYour holy cities have become a wilderness;
Zion has become a wilderness,
Jerusalem a desolation.
11 dOur holy and beautiful
Or  holy and glorious
house,
where our fathers praised you,
has been burned by fire,
and all our pleasant places have become ruins.

Jeremiah 25:9-13

9 fbehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, gmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, hand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. 10Moreover, iI will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, jthe grinding of the millstones and kthe light of the lamp. 11 lThis whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and mthese nations shall serve the king of Babylon nseventy years. 12Then after oseventy years are completed, pI will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, qthe land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, declares the Lord, rmaking the land an everlasting waste. 13I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written sin this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations.

Jeremiah 29:10

10For thus says the Lord: tWhen seventy years are completed for Babylon, uI will visit you, vand I will fulfill to you my promise wand bring you back to this place.

Ezekiel 34:28

28 xThey shall no more be a prey to the nations, ynor shall the beasts of the land devour them. zThey shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid.
