Psalms 79:5-12

5 ^aHow long, O Lord? Will you be angry ^bforever?
Will your ^cjealousy ^dburn like fire?
6 ^ePour out your anger on the nations
that ^fdo not know you,
and on the kingdoms
that ^gdo not call upon your name!
7 For they have devoured Jacob
and laid waste his habitation.
8 ^hDo not remember against us ⁱour former iniquities; ^{▼▼Or the iniquities of former generations}
let your compassion come speedily to meet us,
for we are ^kbrought very low.
9 ^lHelp us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and ^matone for our sins,
for your ⁿname’s sake!
10 ^oWhy should the nations say,
“Where is their God?”
Let ^pthe avenging of the outpoured blood of your servants
be known among the nations before our eyes!
11 Let ^qthe groans of the prisoners come before you;
according to your great power, preserve those ^rdoomed to die!
12 Return ^ssevenfold into the ^tlap of our neighbors
the ^utaunts with which they have taunted you, O Lord!
