Psalms 80:11-16

11It sent out its branches to athe sea
and its shoots to bthe River.
That is,  the Euphrates

12Why then have you dbroken down its walls,
so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?
13 eThe boar from the forest ravages it,
and all that move in the field feed on it.
14 Turn again, O God of hosts!
fLook down from heaven, and see;
have regard for this vine,
15the stock that your right hand planted,
and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.
16They have gburned it with fire; they have hcut it down;
may they perish at ithe rebuke of your face!

Isaiah 6:13

13 jAnd though a tenth remain in it,

Or purged

when it is felled.”

Or offspring
is its stump.

therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them;
he who formed them will show them no favor.

16The Lord once called you p‘a green olive tree, beautiful with good fruit.’ But qwith the roar of a great tempest he will set fire to it, and rits branches will be consumed.

Ezekiel 15:6-8

6Therefore thus says the Lord God: sLike the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, twhich I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7 uAnd I will set my face against them. Though vthey escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, wand you will know that I am the Lord, xwhen I set my face against them. 8 yAnd I will make the land desolate, because zthey have acted faithlessly, declares the Lord God.”

Matthew 8:11-12

11I tell you, aamany will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 abwhile the sons of the kingdom acwill be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place adthere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
