Psalms 80:15-16

15the stock that your right hand planted,
and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.
16They have aburned it with fire; they have bcut it down;
may they perish at cthe rebuke of your face!

Ezekiel 15:2-8

2 dSon of man, how does ethe wood of the vine surpass any wood, the vine branch that is among the trees of the forest? 3Is wood taken from it to make anything? Do people take fa peg from it to hang any vessel on it? 4 gBehold, it is given to the fire for fuel. When the fire has consumed both ends of it, and the middle of it is charred, is it useful for anything? 5 hBehold, when it was whole, it was used for nothing. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it ever be used for anything! 6Therefore thus says the Lord God: iLike the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, jwhich I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7 kAnd I will set my face against them. Though lthey escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, mand you will know that I am the Lord, nwhen I set my face against them. 8 oAnd I will make the land desolate, because pthey have acted faithlessly, declares the Lord God.”

Ezekiel 20:47

47Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, qI will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every rgreen tree in you and every sdry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and tall faces from south to north shall be scorched by it.

Matthew 3:10

10Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. uEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

John 15:6

6If anyone does not abide in me vhe is thrown away like a branch and withers; wand the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
