Psalms 80:9-11

9You acleared the ground for it;
it took deep root and filled the land.
10The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
11It sent out its branches to bthe sea
and its shoots to cthe River.
That is,  the Euphrates

Ezekiel 31:3-10

3Behold, eAssyria was a fcedar in gLebanon,
with beautiful branches and hforest shade,
iand of towering height,
its top among the clouds.
Or  its top went through the thick boughs; also verses 10, 14

4The waters nourished it;
the deep made it grow tall,
making kits rivers flow
around the place of its planting,
sending forth its streams
to all the trees of the field.
5So lit towered high
above all the trees of the field;
its boughs grew large
and its branches long
from mabundant water in its shoots.
6 nAll the birds of the heavens
made their nests in its boughs;
under its branches all the beasts of the field
gave birth to their young,
and under its shadow
lived all great nations.
7It was obeautiful in its greatness,
in the length of its branches;
pfor its roots went down
to abundant waters.
8 qThe cedars rin the garden of God could not rival it,
nor the fir trees equal its boughs;
neither were the plane trees
like its branches;
no tree sin the garden of God
was its equal in beauty.
9I made it beautiful
in the mass of its branches,
and all the trees of tEden envied it,
that were in the garden of God.
10Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because uit
Syriac, Vulgate; Hebrew you
towered high and set its top among the clouds, and wits heart was proud of its height,

Daniel 4:10-14

10 xThe visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and ybehold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. 11 zThe tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth. 12 aaIts leaves were beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all. abThe beasts of the field found shade under it, and acthe birds of the heavens lived in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.

13“I saw in adthe visions of my head as I lay in bed, and behold, aea watcher, afa holy one, came down from heaven. 14He agproclaimed aloud and said thus: ahChop down the tree and ailop off its branches, ajstrip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. akLet the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches.

Daniel 4:20-22

20 alThe tree you saw, which grew and became strong, so that its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth, 21 amwhose leaves were beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in which was food for all, under which beasts of the field found shade, and in whose branches the birds of the heavens lived 22 anit is you, O king, who have grown and become strong. aoYour greatness has grown and reaches to heaven, apand your dominion to the ends of the earth.
