Psalms 81:11-13

11 “But my people did not listen to my voice;
Israel awould not submit to me.
12So I bgave them over to their cstubborn hearts,
to follow their own dcounsels.
13 eOh, that my people would listen to me,
that Israel would fwalk in my ways!

Isaiah 1:2-5

The Wickedness of Judah

2 gHear, O heavens, and give ear, O hearth;

jhave I reared and brought up,
but they have rebelled against me.
3The ox kknows its owner,
and the donkey its master’s crib,
but Israel does lnot know,
my people do not understand.”
4 Ah, sinful nation,
a people laden with iniquity,
moffspring of evildoers,
children who deal corruptly!
They have forsaken the Lord,
they have ndespised othe Holy One of Israel,
they are utterly pestranged.
5 Why will you still be qstruck down?
Why will you rcontinue to rebel?
The whole head is sick,
and the whole heart faint.

Micah 6:1-5

The Indictment of the Lord

1 sHear what the Lord says:
Arise, plead your case before the mountains,
and let the hills hear your voice.
2 tHear, you mountains, uthe indictment of the Lord,
and you enduring foundations of the earth,
for the Lord has an indictment against his people,
and he will contend with Israel.
3 “O my people, vwhat have I done to you?
wHow have I wearied you? Answer me!
4For xI brought you up from the land of Egypt
and yredeemed you from the house of slavery,
and I sent before you Moses,
Aaron, and zMiriam.
5O my people, remember aawhat Balak king of Moab devised,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him,
and what happened from abShittim to Gilgal,
that you may know acthe righteous acts of the Lord.”
