Psalms 89:10

10You acrushed bRahab like a carcass;
you cscattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

Isaiah 10:12-19

12 dWhen the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, ehe
Hebrew I
will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes.
13 gFor he says:

“By the strength of my hand I have done it,
and by my wisdom, for I have understanding;
I remove the boundaries of peoples,
and plunder their treasures;
like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.
14My hand has found like a nest
the wealth of the peoples;
and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken,
so I have gathered all the earth;
and there was none that moved a wing
or opened the mouth or chirped.”
15 Shall hthe axe boast over him who hews with it,
or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it?
As if a rod should wield him who lifts it,
or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!
16Therefore the Lord God of hosts
will send wasting sickness among his istout warriors,
and under his glory ja burning will be kindled,
like the burning of fire.
17 kThe light of Israel will become a fire,
and lhis Holy One a flame,
and mit will burn and devour
his thorns and briers nin one day.
18The glory of ohis forest and of his pfruitful land
the Lord will destroy, both soul and body,
and it will be as when a sick man wastes away.
19The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few
that a child can write them down.

Jeremiah 48:29-30

29 qWe have heard of the pride of Moab
he is very proud
of his loftiness, his pride, and his arrogance,
and the haughtiness of his heart.
30I know his insolence, declares the Lord;
rhis boasts are false,
his deeds are false.

Daniel 4:37

37Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, spraise and extol and honor the tKing of heaven, ufor all his works are right and his ways are just; and vthose who walk in pride he is able to humble.

Daniel 5:25-31

25And this is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. 26This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered
 Mene sounds like the Aramaic for  numbered
the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end;
27Tekel, xyou have been weighed
 Tekel sounds like the Aramaic for  weighed
in the balances and found wanting;
28Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to zthe Medes and aaPersians.”
 Peres (the singular of  Parsin) sounds like the Aramaic for  divided and for Persia

29Then acBelshazzar gave the command, and Daniel adwas clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 aeThat very night afBelshazzar the agChaldean king was killed. 31

1 Peter 5:5

5Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. akClothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for alGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
