Psalms 89:34-36

34I will not violate my acovenant
or alter the word that went forth from my lips.
35Once for all I have sworn bby my holiness;
I will not clie to David.
36His doffspring shall endure forever,
ehis fthrone as long as gthe sun before me.

Hebrews 5:6

6as he says also in another place,

h“You are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”

Hebrews 6:13-18

The Certainty of God’s Promise

13For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, ihe swore by himself, 14saying, jSurely I will bless you and multiply you.” 15And thus Abraham,
Greek he
lhaving patiently waited, obtained the promise.
16For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes man oath is final for confirmation. 17So when God desired to show more convincingly to nthe heirs of the promise othe unchangeable character of his purpose, phe guaranteed it with an oath, 18so that by two unchangeable things, in which qit is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope rset before us.

Hebrews 7:28

28For the law appoints men sin their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made tperfect forever.
