Psalms 89:38-47

38 But now you have acast off and rejected;
you are full of wrath against your banointed.
39You have crenounced dthe covenant with your servant;
you have edefiled his fcrown in the dust.
40You have gbreached all his walls;
you have laid his strongholds in ruins.
41 hAll who pass by plunder him;
he has become ithe scorn of his neighbors.
42You have exalted the right hand of his foes;
you have made all his enemies rejoice.
43You have also turned back the edge of his sword,
and you have not made him stand in battle.
44You have made his splendor to cease
and cast his throne to the ground.
45You have cut short jthe days of his youth;
you have kcovered him with shame.  Selah
46 lHow long, O Lord? Will you hide yourself forever?
How long will your wrath mburn like fire?
47 nRemember ohow short my ptime is!
For what vanity you have created all the children of man!

2 Thessalonians 2:3-12

3 qLet no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, runless the rebellion comes first, and sthe man of lawlessness

is revealed, uthe son of destruction,
Greek  the son of perdition (a Hebrew idiom)
4who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, wproclaiming himself to be God. 5Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7For xthe mystery of lawlessness yis already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8And then zthe lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus aawill kill with abthe breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by acthe appearance of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan adwith all power and false signs and wonders, 10and with all wicked deception for aethose who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11Therefore afGod sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe agwhat is false, 12in order that all may be condemned ahwho did not believe the truth but aihad pleasure in unrighteousness.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1Now ajthe Spirit expressly says that akin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to aldeceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2through the insincerity of amliars whose consciences are seared, 3 anwho forbid marriage and aorequire abstinence from foods apthat God created aqto be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

2 Timothy 3

Godlessness in the Last Days

1But understand this, that arin the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2For people will be aslovers of self, atlovers of money, auproud, avarrogant, abusive, awdisobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 axheartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, aynot loving good, 4treacherous, reckless, azswollen with conceit, balovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having the appearance of godliness, but bbdenying its power. bcAvoid such people. 6For among them are bdthose who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7always learning and never able to bearrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8Just as bfJannes and Jambres bgopposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, bhmen corrupted in mind and bidisqualified regarding the faith. 9But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, bjas was that of those two men.

All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God

10 bkYou, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me blat Antioch, bmat Iconium, and bnat Lystrawhich persecutions I endured; yet bofrom them all bpthe Lord rescued me. 12Indeed, all who desire to bqlive a godly life in Christ Jesus brwill be persecuted, 13while bsevil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and btbeing deceived. 14But as for you, bucontinue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom
The Greek for  whom is plural
you learned it
15and how bwfrom childhood you have been acquainted with bxthe sacred writings, bywhich are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 bzAll Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17that cathe man of God
That is, a messenger of God (the phrase echoes a common Old Testament expression)
may be complete, ccequipped cdfor every good work.

Revelation of John 11:2-19

2but do not measure cethe court outside the temple; leave that out, for cfit is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for cgforty-two months. 3And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for ch1,260 days, ciclothed in sackcloth.”

4These are cjthe two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5And if anyone would harm them, ckfire pours from their mouth and consumes their foes. If anyone would harm them, clthis is how he is doomed to be killed. 6They have the power cmto shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and cnto strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire. 7And when they have finished their testimony, cothe beast that rises from cpthe bottomless pit
Or the abyss
crwill make war on them and conquer them and kill them,
8and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically

is called ctSodom and cuEgypt, where their Lord was crucified.
9For three and a half days some from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and cvrefuse to let them be placed in a tomb, 10and cwthose who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and cxexchange presents, because these two prophets cyhad been a torment to those who dwell on the earth. 11But after the three and a half days cza breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, da“Come up here!” And dbthey went up to heaven dcin a cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13And at that hour there was dda great earthquake, and dea tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and dfgave glory to dgthe God of heaven.

14 dhThe second woe has passed; behold, the third woe is soon to come.

The Seventh Trumpet

15Then dithe seventh angel blew his trumpet, and djthere were loud voices in heaven, saying, dk“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of dlhis Christ, and dmhe shall reign forever and ever.” 16And the twenty-four elders dnwho sit on their thrones before God dofell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying,

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
dpwho is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and dqbegun to reign.
18The nations raged,
but dryour wrath came,
and dsthe time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants,

the prophets and saints,
and duthose who fear your name,
both small and great,
and dvfor destroying the destroyers of the earth.”
19Then dwGod’s temple in heaven was opened, and dxthe ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,

Revelation of John 12:13-17

13And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued eathe woman who had given birth to the male child. 14But the woman was given the two ebwings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent ecinto the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished edfor a time, and times, and half a time. 15The serpent poured water eelike a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood. 16But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off efto make war on the rest of egher offspring, ehon those who keep the commandments of God and hold to eithe testimony of Jesus.
