3 You return man to dust

are but as ^eyesterday when it is past,

Psalms 90:12

12 ^gSo teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Luke 12:19-21

19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up ^hfor many years; relax, ⁱeat, drink, be merry.”’ 20 But God said to him, ^j‘Fool! ^kThis night ^lyour soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, ^mwhose will they be?’ 21 So is the one ⁿwho lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

Warning to the Rich

1 Come now, ^oyou rich, weep and howl for the ^pmiseries that are coming upon you. 2 ^qYour riches have rotted and ^ryour garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. ^sYou have laid up treasure ^tin the last days. 4 Behold, ^uthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and ^vthe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of ^wthe Lord of hosts. 5 ^xYou have lived on the earth in luxury and ^yin self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in ^za day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and ^aamurdered ^abthe righteous person. He does not resist you.
