Psalms 90:3-4

3 You return man to dust
and say, aReturn, bO children of man!”

or as fa watch in the night.

12 gSo teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Luke 12:19-21

19And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up hfor many years; relax, ieat, drink, be merry.”’ 20But God said to him, jFool! kThis night lyour soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, mwhose will they be?’ 21So is the one nwho lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

James 5:1-6

Warning to the Rich

1Come now, oyou rich, weep and howl for the pmiseries that are coming upon you. 2 qYour riches have rotted and ryour garments are moth-eaten. 3Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. sYou have laid up treasure tin the last days. 4Behold, uthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and vthe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of wthe Lord of hosts. 5 xYou have lived on the earth in luxury and yin self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in za day of slaughter. 6You have condemned and aamurdered abthe righteous person. He does not resist you.
