Psalms 92:12-14

12 aThe righteous flourish like the palm tree
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13They are planted in the house of the Lord;
they flourish in bthe courts of our God.
14They still bear fruit in old age;
they are ever full of sap and green,

Isaiah 49:9-10

9 csaying to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’
to those who are in darkness, ‘Appear.’
dThey shall feed along the ways;
on all bare heights shall be their pasture;
10 ethey shall not hunger or thirst,
neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them fwill lead them,
and by springs of water will guide them.

Isaiah 55:12-13

12 g“For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
hthe mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 iInstead of the thorn shall come up the cypress;
instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
and it shall make a name for the Lord,
an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Jeremiah 31:9-14

9 jWith weeping they shall come,
kand with pleas for mercy I will lead them back,
I will make them lwalk by brooks of water,
min a straight path in which they shall not stumble,
for nI am a father to Israel,
and Ephraim is omy firstborn.
10 Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will pgather him,
and will keep him qas a shepherd keeps his flock.’
11 rFor the Lord has ransomed Jacob
and has redeemed him from shands too strong for him.
12They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
tand they shall be radiant uover the goodness of the Lord,
vover the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and over the young of the flock and the herd;
wtheir life shall be like a watered garden,
xand they shall languish no more.
13 yThen shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
zI will turn their mourning into joy;
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
14 aaI will feast the soul of the priests with abundance,
and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,

declares the Lord.”

Hosea 14:5-7

5 abI will be like the dew to Israel;
ache shall blossom like the lily;
he shall take root like the trees adof Lebanon;
6his shoots shall spread out;
his beauty shall be aelike the olive,
and his fragrance like Lebanon.
7They shall return and afdwell beneath my
Hebrew his
shadow;
they shall flourish like the grain;
they shall blossom like the vine;
their fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
