Psalms 95:11

11Therefore I aswore in my wrath,
“They shall not enter bmy rest.”

Isaiah 28:12

12to whom he has said,
cThis is rest;
give rest to the weary;
and this is repose”;
yet they would not hear.

Isaiah 66:1

The Humble and Contrite in Spirit

1 dThus says the Lord:
eHeaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool;
what is the house that you would build for me,
and what is the place of my rest?

Jeremiah 6:16

16 Thus says the Lord:
Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for fthe ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
gand find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Matthew 11:28-30

28 hCome to ime, all who labor and are jheavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and klearn from me, for I am lgentle and lowly in heart, and myou will find rest for your souls. 30For nmy yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Hebrews 4:3-11

3For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,

oAs I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest,’”
although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: pAnd God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5And again in this passage he said,

q“They shall not enter my rest.”
6Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news rfailed to enter because of disobedience, 7again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted,

sToday, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”
8For if Joshua had given them rest, God
Greek he
would not have spoken of another day later on.
9So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, 10for whoever has entered God’s rest has also urested from his works as God did from his.

11Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so vthat no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
