Psalms 97
The Lord Reigns
1 aThe Lord reigns, blet the earth rejoice;let the many ccoastlands be glad!
2 dClouds and thick darkness are all around him;
erighteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 fFire goes before him
and burns up his adversaries all around.
4His glightnings light up the world;
the earth sees and htrembles.
5The mountains imelt like jwax before the Lord,
before kthe Lord of all the earth.
6 lThe heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all mthe peoples see his glory.
7All worshipers of images are nput to shame,
who make their boast in oworthless idols;
pworship him, all you gods!
8 Zion hears and qis glad,
and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
because of your judgments, O Lord.
9For you, O Lord, are rmost high over all the earth;
you are exalted far above sall gods.
10 O you who love the Lord, thate evil!
He upreserves the lives of his vsaints;
he wdelivers them from the hand of the wicked.
