Psalms 98:3

3He has aremembered his bsteadfast love and faithfulness
to the house of Israel.
All cthe ends of the earth have seen
dthe salvation of our God.

Isaiah 44:21

The Lord Redeems Israel

21 Remember these things, O Jacob,
and Israel, for you are emy servant;
I formed you; you are my servant;
fO Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.

Isaiah 46:3-4

3 Listen to me, O house of Jacob,
all the remnant of the house of Israel,
gwho have been borne by me from before your birth,
carried from the womb;
4 heven to your old age I am he,
and to gray hairs I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save.

Isaiah 49:14-16

14 But Zion said, i“The Lord has forsaken me;
my Lord has forgotten me.”
15 j“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
16Behold, kI have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me.

Isaiah 54:6-10

6 lFor the Lord has called you
like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit,
like a wife of youth when she is cast off,
says your God.
7 mFor a brief moment I deserted you,
but with great compassion I will gather you.
8 nIn overflowing anger for a moment
I hid my face from you,
obut with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,”
says the Lord, your Redeemer.
9 This is like pthe days of Noah
Some manuscripts For this is as the waters of Noah
to me:
as I swore that the waters of Noah
should no more go over the earth,
so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,
and will not rebuke you.
10For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and rmy covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 63:7-16

The Lord’s Mercy Remembered

7 I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord,
the praises of the Lord,
according to all that the Lord has granted us,
sand the great goodness to the house of Israel
that he has granted them according to his compassion,
according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
8For he said, “Surely they are my people,
children who will not deal falsely.”
And he became their Savior.
9 tIn all their affliction he was afflicted,
Or  he did not afflict

and the angel of his presence saved them;
vin his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
whe lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
10 xBut they rebelled
yand grieved his Holy Spirit;
therefore he turned to be their enemy,
and himself fought against them.
11Then he remembered zthe days of old,
of Moses and his people.
Or  Then his people remembered the days of old, of Moses

abWhere is he who brought them up out of the sea
with the shepherds of his flock?
Where is he who put in the midst of them
his Holy Spirit,
12who caused his glorious arm
to go at the right hand of Moses,
acwho divided the waters before them
adto make for himself an everlasting name,
13who led them through the depths?
Like a horse in the desert,
they did not stumble.
14Like livestock that go down into the valley,
aethe Spirit of the Lord gave them rest.
So you led your people,
afto make for yourself a glorious name.

Prayer for Mercy

15 agLook down from heaven and see,
ahfrom your holy and beautiful
Or  holy and glorious
habitation.
Where are ajyour zeal and your might?
The stirring of your inner parts and your compassion
are held back from me.
16For akyou are our Father,
though Abraham does not know us,
and Israel does not acknowledge us;
you, O Lord, are our Father,
alour Redeemer from of old is your name.

Luke 1:70-75

70 amas anhe spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
71 aothat we should be saved from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us;
72 apto show the mercy promised to our fathers
and aqto remember his holy arcovenant,
73 asthe oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
74that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
might serve him atwithout fear,
75 auin holiness and righteousness before him avall our days.
