Psalms 107

Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

1 eOh give thanks to the Lord, ffor he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2Let gthe redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has hredeemed from trouble
Or  from the hand of the foe

3and jgathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
4 Some kwandered in desert wastes,
finding no way lto a city to dwell in;
5hungry and thirsty,
their soul mfainted within them.
6Then they ncried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7He led them by oa straight way
till they reached pa city to dwell in.
8 qLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
9For he rsatisfies the longing soul,
sand the hungry soul he fills with good things.
10 tSome sat in darkness and in uthe shadow of death,
prisoners in vaffliction and in irons,
11for they whad rebelled against the words of God,
and xspurned the counsel of the Most High.
12So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor;
they fell down, ywith none to help.
13 zThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
14He brought them out of aadarkness and the shadow of death,
and abburst their bonds apart.
15 acLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
16For he adshatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
17 Some were aefools through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;
18 afthey loathed any kind of food,
and they agdrew near to ahthe gates of death.
19 aiThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
20He ajsent out his word and akhealed them,
and aldelivered them from their destruction.
21 amLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
22And let them anoffer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and aotell of his deeds in apsongs of joy!
23 Some aqwent down to the sea in ships,
doing business on the great waters;
24they saw the deeds of the Lord,
his wondrous works in the deep.
25For he arcommanded and asraised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
their courage atmelted away in their evil plight;
27they reeled and austaggered like drunken men
and avwere at their witsend.
Hebrew  and all their wisdom was swallowed up

28 axThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
29He aymade the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30Then they were glad that the waters
Hebrew they
were quiet,
and he brought them to their desired haven.
31 baLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
32Let them bbextol him in bcthe congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 He bdturns rivers into a desert,
springs of water into thirsty ground,
34 bea fruitful land into a salty waste,
because of the evil of its inhabitants.
35He bfturns a desert into pools of water,
bga parched land into springs of water.
36And there he lets the hungry dwell,
and they establish bha city to live in;
37they sow fields and plant vineyards
and get a fruitful yield.
38 biBy his blessing they multiply greatly,
and he does not let their livestock diminish.
39 When they are diminished and brought low
through oppression, evil, and sorrow,
40 bjhe pours contempt on princes
and bkmakes them wander blin trackless wastes;
41but bmhe raises up the needy out of affliction
and bnmakes their families like flocks.
42 boThe upright see it and are glad,
and bpall wickedness shuts its mouth.
43 bqWhoever is wise, let him attend to these things;
let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

Micah 5:4

4And he shall stand brand shepherd his flock bsin the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they shall dwell secure, for now bthe shall be great
to the ends of the earth.

Mark 13:27

27And then buhe will send out the angels and bvgather bwhis elect from bxthe four winds, from bythe ends of the earth bzto the ends of heaven.
