1 Then ^aone of the seven angels who had ^bthe seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of ^cthe great prostitute ^dwho is seated on many waters, 2 ^ewith whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and ^fwith the wine of whose sexual immorality ^gthe dwellers on earth have become drunk.” 3 And ^hhe carried me away in the Spirit ⁱinto a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on ^ja scarlet beast that was full of ^kblasphemous names, and ^lit had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman ^mwas arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned ⁿwith gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand ^oa golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 5 And on her forehead was written a name of ^pmystery: ^q“Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” 6 And I saw the woman, drunk ^rwith the blood of the saints, the blood of ^sthe martyrs of Jesus. ^{▼▼Greek the witnesses to Jesus}

When I saw her, I marveled greatly. 7 But the angel said to me, “Why do you marvel? I will tell you ^uthe mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.

Revelation of John 19:9-10

9 And the angel said ^{▼▼Greek he said} to me, “Write this: ^wBlessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, ^x“These are the true words of God.” 10 Then ^yI fell down at his feet to worship him, ^zbut he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant ^{▼▼Greek fellow bondservant} with you and your brothers who hold to ^abthe testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation of John 22:8-16

8 I, ^acJohn, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, ^adI fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 ^aebut he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant ^{▼▼Greek fellow bondservant} with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those ^agwho keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

10 And he said to me, ^ah“Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 ^aiLet the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”

12 “Behold, ^ajI am coming soon, ^akbringing my recompense with me, ^alto repay each one for what he has done. 13 ^amI am the Alpha and the Omega, ^anthe first and the last, ^aothe beginning and the end.”

14 Blessed are those who ^apwash their robes, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts do his commandments} so that they may have the right to ^arthe tree of life and that ^asthey may enter the city by the gates. 15 ^atOutside are ^authe dogs ^avand sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 ^aw“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things ^axfor the churches. I am ^aythe root and ^azthe descendant of David, ^bathe bright morning star.”
