Revelation of John 17:16-17

16 And ^athe ten horns that you saw, they and the beast ^bwill hate the prostitute. They will make her ^cdesolate and ^dnaked, and ^edevour her flesh and ^fburn her up with fire, 17 for ^gGod has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and ^hhanding over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

Revelation of John 18:2-8

2 And he called out with a mighty voice,

ⁱ“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!
She has become ^ja dwelling place for demons,
a haunt ^kfor every unclean spirit,
a haunt ^lfor every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.
3 For all nations have drunk ^{▼▼Some manuscripts fallen by}
ⁿthe wine of the passion of her sexual immorality,
and ^othe kings of the earth have committed immorality with her,
and ^pthe merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

^q“Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
5 for ^rher sins are heaped high as heaven,
and ^sGod has remembered her iniquities.
6 ^tPay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her ^udouble for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her ^vin the cup she mixed.
7 ^wAs she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
^x‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’
8 For this reason her plagues will come ^yin a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and ^zshe will be burned up with fire;
for ^aamighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
