8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^afell down before the Lamb, ^beach holding a harp, and ^cgolden bowls full of incense, ^dwhich are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang ^ea new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for ^fyou were slain, and by your blood ^gyou ransomed people for God
from ^hevery tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them ⁱa kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering ^jmyriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,

^k“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard ^levery creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

A Great Multitude from Every Nation

9 After this I looked, and behold, ^ma great multitude that no one could number, ⁿfrom every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, ^oclothed in white robes, with ^ppalm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, ^q“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and ^rthe four living creatures, and they ^sfell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 ^tsaying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
