1 Corinthians 1:19-21

19For it is written,

i“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 jWhere is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? kHas not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach
Or  the folly of preaching
to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 3:18-20

18 mLet no one deceive himself. nIf anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19For othe wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, p“He catches the wise in their craftiness,” 20and again, q“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

James 3:13-17

Wisdom from Above

13Who is wise and understanding among you? rBy his good conduct let him show his works sin the meekness of wisdom. 14But if you have bitter tjealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15This is not uthe wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, vdemonic. 16For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. 17But wthe wisdom from above is first pure, then xpeaceable, gentle, open to reason, yfull of mercy and good fruits, zimpartial and aasincere.

2 Peter 1:9
